NE Portland, OR
This 1933 home featured a previously converted garage addition that disrupted the flow of the house and did not match the rest of the exterior. The interior layout felt cramped and the rooms lacked flow and connection. The new layout creates a more open floor plan while retaining the historic character and detailing of the home.
The remodel raises the floor of the addition and enlarges its footprint to match the rest of the house and create a cohesive exterior facade. On the interior, the kitchen was relocated to create more generous and open living and dining areas. The addition was extended out toward the backyard to create space for a small new master suite.
